Listening - Understanding - Acting Together
Staying healthy is not easy in this era we live in. Pandemics, stress, climate change, unhealthy diets … the list goes on. There are many factors that pose a challenge to our health on a daily basis.
Getting back to good health is also tricky when there is a stigma attached to illness. We feel we have to continue functioning against all odds, when any physical weaknesses are perceived as a burden to others.
And in a country where our healthcare system is focused on efficiency and optimisation, sometimes patients can experience a lack of proper care and understanding when it comes to their health concerns.
The modern-day care provided by a general practitioner needs to respond to and address this.
At our surgery, this involves being in close touch with people – in a family-friendly, needs-based and compassionate way.
It means working with all medical specialists, applying modern medicine and giving patients the appropriate space for what is important to them.
This, in turn, involves providing preventive care, treatment, aftercare – but above all: a listening ear.
