New dates for vaccinations against influenza 2024 are available! -  Hot topic: The COVID situation

A flu is not just a cold! - On influenza and the vaccination

New dates for vaccination days!

"I never had a real flu"; "My immune system is doin' well enough", " I hadn't suffered from a severe cold for ages". These kind of statementswe hear now and then as soon as we suggest somebody to take the vaccination against flu and the first reaction is scepticism.

Often patients change their opinion after we have informed them about the dissimilarity of a flu caused by the influenza virus and the so cold "flu like illness". The latter describes an airway infection caused by common viruses active in the respiratory system.

Different to a common cold the flu describes disease presenting with very high fever, sometimes heavily painful symptoms related not only to the resoiratory system but the body as a whole. No matter how well the immune system works, the symptom development is mostly very hard. You find more information here in German language.

For this vaccination protects not only from heavy progression of disease but even from infection we recommend to use the opportunity of getting vaccinates against influenza by February 2025 at latest as long as vaccines are available.

Like last year we offer special vaccination hours against inluenza on the following afternoons:

Friday 18th Oct 24   3 - 4.30 p.m.

Friday 1st Nov 24    3 - 4.30 p.m.

Friday 29th Nov 24   3 - 4.30 p.m.

Or just fix an appointment for vaccination another day starting from 16 th Oct 24. Have your vaccination card and your health insurance card with you. The vaccination will be done immidiately. This offer also applies to non-practice-bound patients.
