Dear patients,
since 1st July 24 we introduced a fee on copies.
Background is the enormous increase of demandings for printout of medical reports and lab results for private purposes. Demandings that we so far complied with on our own costs out of the persuasion that patients should have access to their data at any time. Meanwhile these demands do not only mean additional workload for our staff but an additional as financial as ecological burden that we have to encounter properly.
Therefor we charge a fee of 0,50 Euro per printed page for every patient-desired printout of medical reports or lab results. This fee is customary in many outptient practices and applies to both privately and legally insured patients.
In very urgent or emergency cases copies are also handed out for free, of courde (for example to hospitals). Decision about this rests solely with the practice owner.
Technical developments allow you, as well, to receive medical documents compliant to data protection obligations and to save paper. If medical collegues wish to receive reports, we can exchange documents via the internal KIM data exchange system. Beside establishing the electronical patient file (ePA) we have the opportunity to exchange medical documents in a data protected way within the frame og our video consultation device.
